Position Overview: 

As an Application Engineer, you will take ownership of technical implementation, programming, and support activities for Murrelektronik’s automation products and solutions across India. You will be responsible for developing PLC applications using CoDeSys V3, primarily in Structured Text (ST), integrating communication protocols like PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, and EtherCAT, and providing hands-on support for installations and commissioning. 

You will also deliver technical product presentations, troubleshoot customer applications, and contribute to the successful rollout of automation projects at various industrial sites across India. 

Your Responsibilities: 

• Develop PLC applications using CoDeSys V3 and IEC 61131-3 programming languages, especially Structured Text (ST).
• Integrate and configure fieldbus protocols such as PROFINET, EtherCAT, CANopen, Modbus TCP, and industrial Ethernet.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems at customer sites.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and technical presentations for OEMs, system integrators, and end-users.
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales teams to deliver tailored automation solutions for diverse customer needs.
• Program sample applications including motion control, visualization (HMI), and I/O communication.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and support guides.
• Provide post-installation technical support and training to customers and partners.
• Travel frequently across India based on customer and project requirements. 

Your Profile: 

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming using CoDeSys, with strong proficiency in Structured Text.
• Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols: PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, EtherCAT, and CANopen.
• Experience in working with sensors, actuators, and control panels.
• Understanding of industrial automation systems, distributed I/O, and control architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in field environments.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical discussions and customer engagement.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel frequently across India for field support and commissioning
